Conflict Sensitive Journalism is quality reporting of conflict, crisis and war.
Committed to applying CSJ in journalism practice, PECOJON Philippines Secretariat launched this site for members of the international network to publish stories and photos following CSJ principles.
A quarterly magazine will be published by the network showcasing best stories.
PECOJON-The Peace and Conflict Journalism Network started as a German-Philippine partnership in Bacolod City, Philippines in 2004. German journalist Antonia Koop gathered local journalists during the founding year to discuss about Peace Journalism and its implementation in the Philippines. In the months that followed, PECOJON grew its network in several countries in the world. And in 2007, the International Secretariat expanded its reach to Indonesia and East Timor. In 2009, PECOJON started off in Cambodia.
Since 2004, PECOJON has been giving trainings in Conflict Sensitive Journalism and Media Literacy for students, academicians and the civil society.
